JC Smith Inc established in Syracuse, NY in 1976. A family business that has grown over the 40+ years to six locations. Syracuse, Albany, Ithaca, Rochester, Vestal and Whitesboro. A supply and rental warehouse that caters to all sorts of clients, in various different industries. The business currently has three generations of family members involved, along with many dedicated employees.
Sales, Service, Signs & Rental, JC Smith Inc has turned into a “one-stop shop” for many of our customers. J.C. Smith Inc is divided up into several departments; Rental, Service & Repairs, Parts, Fasteners, Lasers and the Signage/Apparel Department. Please stop in to any of our locations! Our History
John C Smith, Jr. worked over 20 years for a local construction supply company before he founded JC Smith, Inc., in May of 1976, with the help of his wife, Josephine, and 3 sisters, Vivian, Georgiana, and Elaine. Today, John is 90, and still active in the Company as an advisor. Throughout the years the Company has grown to become one of the largest independently owned Construction Supply houses in Upstate New York, with locations in Syracuse, Albany, Whitesboro, Rochester, Vestal, and Ithaca. Current Owners are John’s family, Joanne C Reed (Smith), CEO, Mary S Smith, President, and Jeffrey C Smith, Vice President. The next generation is already in place working and preparing to manage JC Smith, Inc., as successors.
