Signage Department

J.C. Smith Inc is hiring in our signage departments. We are looking to fill a permanent position, 40+ hours a week. Pay is based off applicants qualifications and experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Willing to train but experience preferred
  • Experience in operation of cut plotters & lamination machines
  • Some knowledge of sign making techniques, materials and substrates
  • PC knowledge is a must
  • Graphic Design Background (Preferred, FlexiSign)
  • Ability to use power tools, panel saw, rivet machine, forklift operating and more
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs (Substrate Rolls)

Responsibilities: include but are not limited to:

  • Operation of Plotter and Laminator
  • Inside Sales and over the phone sales, Quoting Orders
  • Maintain and Manage Company Outlook Email
  • Maintain machinery in good working condition
  • Maintain an organized, clean and professional store appearance at all times
  • Fabrication or Application of Signage,Vehicle Lettering and Wraps
  • Keep a running inventory of all stock and supplies
  • Material Ordering

Apparel Department

J.C. Smith Inc is hiring in our Screen Printing Apparel department in Syracuse, New York.. We are looking to fill a permanent position, 30+ hours a week. Pay is based off applicants qualifications and experiences.

Qualifications:

Knowledge in garments and screen printing would be preferred, but not necessary. Position can be filled with no background of the industry.

Responsibilities: include but are not limited to;

  • Ordering of all garments or pull from inventory
  • Producing purchase orders and receiving them upon shipment
  • Billing upon order completion
  • Contacting customers for order completion and or questions in regards to order
  • Production and operation of apparel press.
  • Customer service via phone, email or in person
